Staff at Seven vote on new agreement
Today is the last day for staff to vote on the new the Seven Network Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
The agreement sees a 2% pay increase on base rate and personal margin for crew working on Home and Away.
Crew have successfully campaigned to retain the normal working hours to stay at 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday on both Home and Away and A Place to Call Home (management initially proposed to change the normal working hours to 6am – 8pm Monday to Friday).
MEAA was also successful in preventing management from forcing leave on permanent crew and changing their redundancy entitlements.
The agreement will expire on December 31, 2016.
Throughout 2016, a separate agreement will be negotiated to cover crew working on The Seven Network’s in-house productions.
MEAA encourages crew members to vote yes. Voting will close at 5pm today, Monday, February 15.
