Encompass theatrical agency under external administration

MEAA has been informed today that Sydney based theatrical agency, Encompass (Encompass Entertainment Group Pty Limited), has been placed under External Administration as the company’s directors have opted to voluntarily wind up the company.

Rodgers Reidy has been appointed as Liquidators of the company.

Any MEAA members represented by Encompass and owed monies should contact the Liquidators immediately afontenay@rodgersreidy.com.au Members should also contact producers they have worked for to advise that all future payments (including for TVC rollovers, TV residuals /royalty payments etc) be directed to the member directly rather than to Encompass.

Affected members who are owed money by the company will need to complete proof of debt forms and lodge them with the Liquidator in order to try and recover unpaid fees.

MEAA can assist members with these forms if required. Members can contact Equity Industrial Officer Sharon Johal sharon.johal@meaa.org for further information. Members are also advised to contact the MEAA residuals team - residuals@meaa.org - to update contact details to ensure all future residuals are not paid to Encompass.

A creditor's meeting is scheduled for June 9 2016. Effected members should attend if they wish to vote on the proposal outlined in the Circular to Creditors.
