MEAA has partnered with Gender Equity Victoria (GEN VIC) and Australian Community Managers (ACM) to launch a pioneering Enhancing Online Safety of Women in the Media project.
MEAA, the union for Australian journalists, welcomes today’s decision by a British judge to prevent the extradition to the United States of our member Julian Assange and calls on the US government to now drop his prosecution.
There is deep concern among working journalists about the high level of concentration of ownership of Australia’s media
