19/09/2015
12:00pm - 3:00pm
QT Gold Coast

Women In Media Queensland is delighted to announce Studio 10’s host Sarah Harris and Today Show’s Sylvia Jeffreys as speakers for our Gold Coast event. These two talented journalists are the perfect fit with the Gold Coast – incredibly successful women who also love to have fun.

Sarah Harris, 34, is a journalist and co-host of Network Ten’s news-based panel show, ‘Studio 10’. Sydney-born and Queensland-raised, Sarah loves a laugh and a practical joke as much as a cracking story. She’s dabbled in radio and files regular columns for the Daily Telegraph. Sarah is the host of Ten’s ‘Shark Tank’ and has also appeared on ‘The Project’ and ‘Have You Been Paying Attention?’ Recently Sarah also became the national ambassador for The Smith Family. Sarah is expecting her first child in December, is a book nerd and loves a good tweet.

Sylvia Jeffreys, 29, the Today Show’s new News Presenter, has quickly established herself as one of the most versatile members of the Nine Network’s top-rating news and current affairs team. Queensland-born Sylvia launched her television career with Channel 9 in Brisbane, her reports, in particular, on the devastating
2010-2011 Queensland floods, which claimed 38 lives, and the highly-powerful and destructive tropical Cyclone Yasi in early 2011 winning high praise from the network. Sylvia’s also one of the Gold Coast’s biggest fans: “I love the people and the vibe here!”
